I also recommend that you don't step in to this mall unless your willing to spend at least 3 or more hours in there, this is not a place to walk in and expect to do window shopping easily. It does get crowed easily at times and leave not much room to do window shopping, but I do suggest to walk into the shops and see other goodies inside that might not be displayed. There are tons of computer related hard and software to see and pick. This is certainly not a mall to walk in just once on your trip there.A few more visits allows you time to go back and see wot else U missed earlier..
Happy shopping... :-)

wmodem is great! normal speed is around 200kbps...it looks cool too and its very mobile and convenient-anywhere anytime..ok..here's the catch- you cant select the 3G network manually so sometimes (usually at startup)you would be connected to the EDGE network and so dont expect the speed to be anything above 30kbps...normal speed is around 15-20kbps in EDGE network

It was easy as 1 2 3 to do and it's worth the effort if you want your i phone to be protected from any unwanted spams or virus being downloaded with out ur knowledge.. I am a i Phone 3gs user and I followed these steps as easy as it was to read and understand it and U feel much safer now to download any app without worrying wot might come along with it it thru the default password.. (Hats OFF to U Jinaah) :P

If the modem works on their computer, and it doesn't on yours then it seems your computer is at fault. Could be your USB port

I bought a Wataniya Broadband connection kit (i paid 2890.00 - USB MODEM + DEPOSIT + 6GB Package). It was working the day i bought and when i tried ti use it the next morning it wasn't working. So had to take it back and had to wait for half an hour for just some to come and check whats wrong. After the person came, they couldnt make it work on my MAC(tried on MAC OS and WIN XP). Asked me they will check and call me back. They called the next day and said it is broken somehow. I went to the shop and demanded to see whoever is in charge. But nobody was available and told me to comeback 30 mins later. and when i went there to see the person, the Modem was working fine on WATANIYA's laptop. Unfortunately i did not take my MAC so had to come home and check. but still it wasnt working. Again on the same day i went with my laptop to ask them to make the USB Modem work on my laptop. They couldnt and said that their marketing team will look into this matter and will get back to me in 24 hours. And then they started talking bullshit. That the Modem is not under any warranty or whatever. Once it leaves the shop it the owners responsibility and went so on. That was 2 WEEKS back. Havent heard from them YET.

Hey Jinaa.

Dhiraagu did not launch broadband, it only introduced a USB modem, which you can already buy from ebay or any other electronic shop. the only difference would be(which actually is a disadvantage) that Dhiraagu USB modem would be locked for use only with Dhiraagu SIM card. (same goes with Wataniya W Modem). but you can always unlock it with little work.

in case of Wataniya, they did launch it, and with the 3G network, they can increase the speed upto 14.4Mbps in the future. the actual difference here is the packages, which makes it cheap using Wataniya internet.

you could always browse the net with a USB modem since they launched the GSM mobile service, you just have to put a normal SIM card in it, only difference would have been that it would have cost you a hand and a leg to use it with the normal (1 laari or 2 laari per KB) rate. unfortunately, with Dhiraagu, still this is true.
